HELP!!!! Cannot get into admin

Im unable log into admin, and if i go to the shop i have noticed that some of the side boxes are missing and if i keep refreshing the page sometimes they reappear, and also the bottom of the page is missing where it should say powered by zen cart. any ideas on how i can overcome this problem. Im using 1.3.5

maybe some more information to start please. was this a fresh install ? Could you get into the admin before ? was powered by ZC there before ? Do you have a URL we can look at ?

NOTE: upgrading to v1.3.7 would be a good idea ...

1 you appear to have bad, missing or otherwise corrupt files

2 there are numerous bugs in v1.3.5 that you really do not want to have your site setup in that version

HI Thanks for the responses, the url is www.bodykitsonline.co.uk/shop. I think it was a fresh install, the company that hosts my site installed it for me when I transfered my domain names to them. Yes I could get into admin, and yes the powered by zc was at the bottom,

I thought I may have had corrupt files,how can I upgrade to 1.3.7 without accessing admin, and after I have upgraded, do you think this would cure my problem, and would let me get back into admin, to continue building the site.

Looking at your site you definitely have errors or bad files ...

Other than products, have you made any changes to your site?

Hi, no i havent made any changes, i dont know how to access the files to change them, which is why it still has all the zc adverts and welcome messages still in place. How can I replace the errors/missing files?

Do you have an FTP program that you can access your site with?

I have smartftp, but I dont have a clue how to use it.

The FTP program allows you to configure an access to your site so you can see your files ...

You need to find how to login to your site ...

When logged in you will see your site on the right panel and your computer on the left panel ...

Before I connect to a site I first set the left panel, my computer, to the directory that holds the files that I consider "my site" on my computer ...

In essence you are setting up a copy of your site, one copy on your computer and one copy on your site ...

I use something simple like a directory called:
c:\internet\website

In this directory I would place a copy of our Zen Cart v1.3.7 from the Download link at the top of your screen ...

Once unzipped you can either work from the directory it creates:
c:\internet\website\zen-cart-v1.3.7-full-fileset-12302006

Or you can copy all of the files from:
c:\internet\website\zen-cart-v1.3.7-full-fileset-12302006

into the directory:
c:\internet\website

I personally copy all the files as this gives me both a "clean" copy of the current version plus a "working" copy that will become my site ...

Now you need to be in the directory on the left side of your FTP program:
c:\internet\website

The trick is to connect to your website ...

This will depend on your FTP software and where you plan to put your files on your site, either in the root directory or in a subdirectory such as:
/catalog

Any of this starting to make some sense?
