Problems customizing Red Passion template

I know Dionysian has moved on to another template, but I found the answer to his (and my) problem with resizing the header. Just in case someone else is using this template and runs into the same problem . . .

The file named logo.gif is used in the header (I suppose for the SEO benefits of image title and alt text). This image is sized 300 x 282. If you want the header to be less than 282px high, you need to shorten the height of this image.

Alternatively, you could just remove the image altogether. Of course, you would loose the SEO benefits. The file logo.gif is referenced in the header.php file.

Hi, I am having a problem resizing the image.

This is what I did:

1. I used photoshop to create a grey version of the top background image with size 842x119 (instead of the original 842x282)

2. I modified stylesheet.css as follows
#logoWrapper {
background-color: transparent;
height:119px;
/* height:282px;*/
}

In IE it looks fine
in Firefox, however, the table is out of place. It has moved to the right, outside of the mainwrapper.

Hi, probably your problem with the header was to do with the fact that there's a transparent image over the top of the header in the red passion template that forces it to a certain size. I had the same issue and just made the logo.gif file smaller which decreased the size of the top header. Sometimes the best way to work out what's going wrong in a webpage/template is with firefox and firebug. Google them if you don't know what I'm talking about
