Registration Problems

This is a new installation, everything's fine but the login process. You fill out new registration info and all is ok, until you try to login. My Login screen comes up OK; "Welcome, Please Sign In". Now you enter newly assigned login info and keep getting back "Welcome Guest, would you like to log yourself in.
If you use the forgot password, it will send you the registration email and new password. The new password doe not work either.
The addy of the site I am trying to get up is: http://www.effiientsites.com/magicstore. I will be moving to another domain after I get this all figured out.
Any ideas, anybody?
