Hi,
I'm moving my hosting from Linux to Windows - I'm moving to EuroVPS.
What should I be looking out for while moving zen cart?
I don't have any mod re-write modules installed.
What about the .htaccess files?

it's for ASP, thats the only reason.
If you want to load on windows ... do a fresh install on your windows server rather than a fresh install on your unix server then try to transfer that ...
Personally I'd stick with the unix server ... much better results ...![]()

Hi,
It didn't work for me. I could not get Zen cart to work on windows. There appeared to be alot of problems with paths.
I'd stick to linux - a fast reliable linux host.
Any update when the next release of zen cart is out?
Well it was pretty easy.. did the transfer and upgrade to 1.3.7 all in one. I did a clean install on the Windows first to test. Then I copied over the the old site from the UNIX box and used good old WinMerge.
Admittedly it was probably 10 times easier due to the fact I am on a VPS so I had a lot more control. But I am sure it can be done on shared platforms too.
