Adding to cart

Couple of questions about this.

1. How can I have an "add to cart" button on a product category page? (I can't see a setting in the admin tool).

2. How do I set up the shop so if a user clicks "add to cart" it simply adds the item in, and does'nt take them to their cart?

Please explain point 1. Why would you want to do that?

basically so if someone clicks on a category they can imediately add items into the cart without going into the item.

The more I think about it, I think that I would have to edit the template as some of the items have attributes attached to them.

Any ideas for point 2?

Not really..more of just when the items are show on the category view that their attributes and an add to cart are show.
