It seems like a donation is a wise investment. Future issues like this will continue to be fixed quickly if its understood that we who make money off the cart -- are willing to pay a little back.

I am having one error, I think, with the new USPS module. When I check Estimate Shipping and see prices, the longer the shipping time the more expensive? Here's an example:

United States Postal Service (1 x 0.75lbs) (Express Mail (1 - 2 days)) $20.50
United States Postal Service (1 x 0.75lbs) (First-Class Mail (2 - 5 days)) $4.00
United States Postal Service (1 x 0.75lbs) (Priority Mail (2 - 3 days)) $5.60
United States Postal Service (1 x 0.75lbs) (Parcel Post (4 - 7 days)) $9.39

Is that normal? Thanks,

It's normal. For packages weighing less than 1 pound, Parcel Post is always more expensive than Priority.

I always tell my customers don't choose Parcel Post unless the package weighs more than 1lb, yet many times they still choose that and I ship either first-class or Priority and give them a refund.

Ill disagree, Its not a 'Good"investment, its a "GREAT"one.
I have chosen to have an automatic deduction from my PayPal each month. Its not a fortune but an ongoing commitment each month to help insure that the hits keep rolling.

Update: I figured it out. One needs to put the updates in the SSL side of the server (httpsdocs for me) as well. Duh.

I'm still having problems. I've installed the latest usps module, and removed my usps account#. I'm still getting

"We are unable to find a USPS shipping quote suitable for your mailing address and the shipping methods we typically use.
If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please contact us for assistance.
(Please check that your Zip Code is entered correctly.)"

I'm running it as production and have tried several different addresses and they all fail.

Any ideas?

Can somebody who's usps module is working please post a printscreen of your settings so I can try what you are using?

You need to install this with your USPS Web Tools User ID and I would recommend using the Production server and not Test server as that rarely works right ...

Also, on new accounts, be sure that after you obtain your USPS Web Tools User ID that you call USPS or email and have them activate your account for use with the Production Server ...

I just need some help with the way the international shipping choices are displayed. I believe that a lot of our international customers are not familiar with first class mail and as such are chooising it rather than priority. Prior to the new usps changes most of our international orders were either priority or express. Since the change we haven't had one.

So we would like to explain to our customers that first class is really just a fancy name for airmail/parcel post. So my question is were are the language defines for:

Global Express Guaranteed (1 - 3 days)
Express Mail International (EMS) (3 - 5 days)
Priority Mail International (6 - 10 days)
First-Class Mail International (Varies)

Also why does the First Class show Varies rather than actual days.

Please help!

I have tried looking at the files in the USPS_patch_may14-2007b, but there was nothing there that I could find that defines the language for the module.

It says varies because the time can vary widely depending on the destination. My suggestion would be to stop offering the First Class by unchecking the box in the USPS module settings in the Admin.
