What might be the problem

Sounds like you're missing the phpmailer class file, and maybe more.
Did all the files upload properly when you were FTPing your files to the server?
Start by checking everything under the /includes/classes folder, and re-uploading any 0-byte files and anything that's missing from the server but present in the original fileset..
