Two Sites, one database, different prices? Is it possible???

Hi all

A client of mine would like to have two sites, one for Retail and one for Wholesale. They want the sites to look different and have a different prices which is why I think we should go for two Zencart installations.

But they want to be able to set the prices for both sites in one Admin. They dont want to manage products on two sites as it doubles their work. When people buy products, the stock will be correct for both sites also.

So they want to login in one Admin, add a product, set both prices, then that product is shown on both sites, one with one price, the other with another price.

Does anyone have any ideas how we could achieve this?

My idea was to use something like Dual Pricing and then have the two sites running off one database. I thought maybe I could modify the code to show one of the prices on one site, and the other prices on the other site. But I dont want to propose this without knowin if it is possible.

The wholesale site should be allowed shopping/viewing for approved clients and as such this can be a group or just the admin store setting but to the DB this should be the class that sees the wholesale pricing. I would have to look deeper into the Dual Pricing mod to be more exact. Others have approached this and I think with success and you can search here for these. I think that several are findable with 2 stores one DB or 2 sites
