My idea was to use something like Dual Pricing and then have the two sites running off one database. I thought maybe I could modify the code to show one of the prices on one site, and the other prices on the other site.
The wholesale site should be allowed shopping/viewing for approved clients and as such this can be a group or just the admin store setting but to the DB this should be the class that sees the wholesale pricing. I would have to look deeper into the Dual Pricing mod to be more exact. Others have approached this and I think with success and you can search here for these. I think that several are findable with 2 stores one DB or 2 sites
