How do you set the alt tags to show up if you are doing a Gallery page

The tags show up on the new products page and in my other shopping cart, but that one also has the names of the items on the page. The artists want just the pictures with no text clutter at first and that seems to be the problem.

I did turn off product names in the admin layout, but somehow I need to get the alt tags, title tags to show up without the titles being turned on.

So where do I recode to get the text to show up for the gallery pages' artwork.
