Default This transaction cannot be accepted (AIM)

I am getting this error message when trying to pay by credit card for $1.00 to see if my new installation works.

This transaction cannot be accepted. - Your credit card could not be authorized for this reason. Please correct any information and try again or contact us for further assistance.

I am using a secure domain and configured the 2 configure.php files to enable ssl. I setup authorize.net_AIM in production mode and am using the same login id and transaction key as my other company thats been working with modernbill for 2 years.

Please give me some kind of hint as I am all out of ideas.

    Thanks very much

You need to talk to the support folks at authorize.net to get them to tell you why the transaction is being rejected.
Common causes of rejected transactions are:
    - incorrectly/incompletely linked bank account with authnet account
    - submission of a type of credit card not currently activated with authnet or your bank
    - etc

Thanks very much for the quick response.

Problem is I am using the same information as my 2 year old business which is working fine using authorize.net.

I used a debit card and a credit card of mine and both get the same error. I even get the same error in test mode.

Is there any possible way it could be something completely different?

    Thanks again

What are your transaction delimiter settings in your authnet account (on their website)?

Also, try going to your Admin->Modules->Payment->AuthnetAIM .... select "Debug Mode" and set it to Email or Log File.

Then test a transaction. The communication log will be emailed to your Store Owner Email Address, or the log file will show up in your /cache folder (if it's writable).
Then post the log details here (the logs do not contain CC numbers).

I was able to look up the error code:
The authorize.net AIM programming guide describes error code 103 as:
    "Transaction cannot be accepted."
    and
"A valid fingerprint, transaction key, or password is required for this transaction."
Can you double-check that the transaction key you entered is truly correct, and doesn't contain leading or trailing spaces, etc?
