Another question about SSL

Hi,

I have a question about SSL. I want to set up my site so that only the checkout part of the shop and also the admin panel use SSL.

My host says that i will provided with a separate SSL folder.

Now, i know i have to amend configure.php to show the path of the HTTPS Server, etc.

My question is what exactly will i have to place into my separate SSL folder? Is it the whole site? Or, just a few files? The section on the faq is a bit vague on this.

the entire site,

and then in the configure.php files ( in the ssl folder ) you will need to change the server paths to show the secure folder

OK, thanks for that.

One more question then... If i make some modifications to my site, ie a change to the layout, or maybe changing some settings in the product listing catagory....will i have to manually copy the files again from the original folder into the SSL folder so that both folders contain identical information, or does Zen do that for you?

you will need to make all changes to both sets of files,

The shared SSL method used by your host, while it works, makes for a bit of duplicate work on your part and time is money and the possibility of typo's between the 2.

If your host can provide a dedicated IP, you can obtain a private SSL or around $20.00 USD/year and avoid this double entry step
