Link from confirmation email ends at error page using Newsletter Subscribe mod

Hi NG,

Have just loaded your excellent Newsletter Subscribe and all appeaed to be OK. I then did a test to myself, by putting my own email in the box and sending and received the confirmation email immediately. Then I clicked the link on the mail and it took me back to my site on an error page. The same thing happened when I used another email address.

The two emails I have entered in the newsletter box are listed as 'confirmation pending' in admin. The link to click from an email confirmation (it it helps) is

If you or anyone could take a look I'd be very grateful for any advise. The site is http://www.saulsaddlery.com/store and the newsletter box is on the bottom left side.

Is there anyone out there who can take a quick look at why the confirmation email link to the newsletter is just going to an error page back on my site. Please see links above. The site is http://wwwsaulsaddlery.com/store

You will probably get more direct support in the support thread for the Newsletter Subscribe mod itself.


Basically, if Zen Cart cannot find the required supporting files for a specific "page", it will go to either your Page-Not-Found or Home page.

The link you posted goes to: main_page=subscribe_confirm
If that "page" doesn't exist, then you'll get the described behaviour.

Basically, it sounds like you're trying to access a "subscribe_confirm" page, which would normally consist of *at least* a folder named /includes/modules/pages/subscribe_confirm and contain at least a header_php.php file with specific code in it for handling things related to "subscribe_confirm" activities.

General rule of thumb ... check that you've installed *all* the files included in the contribution.

I had somehow missed the subscribe_confirm file containing the header.php.php page when uploading.

Now uploaded and working great.
