    Default Categories in Left Column

    Hello!

My store looks gorgeous on my flat LCD screen, but I saw it on a CRT today and realized I have to fix something.

The fonts were washed out and could barely be read.

I fixed my main page, but now I need to make my categories a little bigger and a little more bold. Can someone tell me where to find the code and what to do with it? I suspect it is in my stylesheet, but I'm not sure what line(s) to change.

    TIA

    Kathy

Do you not want to sell anything to people with older computers? With the fixed frame containing the store pages, I can't see any farther down than the top of "Links" in the outer part, and the inner pages are crammed into a quarter of the screen.

I can understand optimizing for medium-new computers, but you should at least make it *possible* to use with an 800x600 monitor. I wonder what is below Links...? I'll never know, and if I want doll clothes I'll never buy from you.

    Hi, Glenn.

I switched web hosts and wonder if you wouldn't mind viewing the new page. Please let me know if it's better.

    Thank you.

The web host had nothing to do with it - getting your shop out of that frame allows anyone to see the whole shop page comfortably. If you want it to expand on larger monitors, you can change the width of #mainWrapper in your stylesheet from 750px to 100%, or 90% if you want side borders.
Now you can tweak the styling a bit more and you'll have a beautiful doll clothing store.

    Hi, Glenn.

Forgot to mention. I couldn't get PayPal to work on Go Daddy so I went somewhere else. Works beautifully now.

I think I might like the width of the table. I had it at 100% and had no control over where everything was laying out on the page. For some reason the entire first paragraph of my description would indent even though there wasn't anything in the html before or after the description telling it to do that. I might still play with it, but it seems every time I drastically change anything I have a hard time getting it back to the original beauty.

Zen Cart really is a very nice program. I tried everything else I could find and just shook my head every time I came across some graphics or planning problem. I know just enough html, css and php to be dangerous, not enough to really know exactly what the strings and queues are doing.
