    Default Add to Cart

    Hello all,

    This thread is about the 'add to cart' functionality.

    I like the 'add to cart' functionality of the product detail pages eg http://www.untitled-project.com/zen-...&products_id=1

    I want to have the SAME input box with 'add to cart' button for every item on the Categories list page. I dont like the default how the user has to enter the quantity in the box and then scroll up or down to click the 'Add Selected Products to cart' button at the top or bottom of the page. By default it looks something like this: http://www.untitled-project.com/zen-...=index&cPath=2

    I have done a few searches within the templates but I cant find where code is to change this. Can anyone point to me where this code is? or better yet, how I would change this?

    thanks, Richter

    Note the difference in URLS ...

    The first link is to a Product that is a single product in a Category and "Skips" the Product Listing based on a switch in the Layout Settings to do so ...

    The second link is to a Product Listing ...

    Now, you can have on the Product Listing:

    Add to Cart button without quantity box

    Add to Cart button with quantity box

    Multiple Add to Cart quantity box with no button except top or bottom or both

    Hi , thanks for your reply.
    It gave me a clue to do more searches and I found the answer.

    I checked 'Configuration > Product Listing > Display Product Add to Cart Button' and I set this to '2' (on with Qty box per product)

    BUT oddly this didnt work. However I saw underneath the 'Display Multiple Products Qty Box Status and Set Button Location' option. After I set this to '0' (off) only then did the 'Display Product Add to Cart Button' take effect (as set above)

    I hope this can help someone else too.

    **note for anyone checking the links on my first post to see what Im talking about, the layout will have changed because Ive modified the admin section.

    Cheers, Richter

    Hence the note:
    Display Product Add to Cart Button (0=off; 1=on; 2=on with Qty Box per Product)
    Do you want to display the Add to Cart Button?

    NOTE: Turn OFF Display Multiple Products Qty Box Status to use Option 2 on with Qty Box per Product
    Thanks for the update on what worked for you and stressing the second setting to change ...

    Hi again, just a call for help on this issue again please. Everything works as above for categories BUT the change did not work for 'new products' list.

    You can see the ADD TO CART as I want it here: http://www.untitled-project.com/zen-...=index&cPath=2

    But not working for 'new products' here: http://www.untitled-project.com/zen-...e=products_new

    I cant finding anything more to turn on / off in the admin other than what I posted above...
    Any ideas? I want consistency :)

    Peek in the Configuration ... New Listing ...
    Display Multiple Products Qty Box Status and Set Button Location
    Do you want to display Add Multiple Products Qty Box and Set Button Location?
    0= off
    1= Top
    2= Bottom
    3= Both
    There are usually separate settings for each section, page, etc. so you can really customize your shop more completely ...

    Hi Ajeh, that was a good suggestion but it didn't work... I played with every setting in there but got nothing to look the same as my product listing page.

    The problem is that there is no 'Display Product Add to Cart Button' functionality with a quantity box (that I could find) for 'new listing', nor for 'all listing'... there is for 'product listing'

    As suggested I set the 'Add Multiple Products Qty Box and Set Button Location' for 'new listing' to 0 which simply added a BUY NOW button, not the add to cart with qty box. (it doesnt even have the html button style, but is just a link.. I have css buttons turned on)

    Ill leave it like this to show you if you click those posted links again. Any other ideas?

    thanks a lot for trying!

    Have you an URL where you cannot change the Quantity box to the Buy Now button?

    I'm looking to have both an add to cart button on each line in the product listing which is achieved when placing multiple add to 0, but I also want the multple add at the top and bottom. How do I have both?
