    red flag Attributes Controller Error

After setting up an attribute I attempt to assign it to an item, but when I click on a catagory with an item in it I get an Server Internal 500 errror.

I created a fresh install and created two cats, two items and one attribute with three values.

I get the error in the fress install of 1.3.7. It is being install automatically by Fantastico.

    Thanks

How about instead ... get the download of Zen Cart v1.3.7 from the Download at the top of your screen ...

Load all files to your site ...

Get the current PayPal Patch at:
    http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56216

Load that to your site too and update your clean v1.3.7 Zen Cart that you just downloaded with those new files ...

Then drop your database table (assuming this has nothing of value in it) ... and reinstall it again ...

NOTE: if using the same directory to install to, you should overwrite the two configure.php files with either empty files or dist-configure.php so that you can do a fresh install the right way ...

I will try that as a test, but how would u save your data, products, on a site if this is the answer?? I have a site where we did not realize the problem until we had lots of products inserted.

If that is the case ... backup both your database and website ...

Get the clean Zen Cart v1.3.7 from our download link and reload the files to your site ...

I am guessing you have bad, missing or corrupt files on your site ...

As a site built clean from Zen Cart v1.3.7 ... usually it will not be in the database unless you manually cleaned out data from the install or the installer used did not properly load the data ...

If you have been using it and adding things to products and categories then there is a good chance the problem is with the files ...

Do you have any add-ons that you also loaded?

Have you ever added attributes to your products successfully?

I installed a clean fresh install of the lastest version of ZC downloaded from zen-cart.com and as before created some cat's and products. I get the same results as before, a internal 500 error??? when using the Attributes Controller as soon as I click on a cat with a product in it.

That is really odd behavior ...

Would you be into doing one more clean install and this time install the demo data and see if you can get to the Attributes on the existing products and can you hit edit, update, add etc. ...

No problem, but help me here.

Do you want me to use the fantastico install or manual and do I get a choice when installing to have the demo stuff or is that a different download?

    I figured it out.

I have reinstalled manually with the demo products. I get the same error when in attribute controller and I click on a catagory to edit.

    Thanks
