    Default Linkpoint and GoDaddy

    I have a VDS and SSL with GoDaddy and as well as a merchant account with Linkpoint API.

    I have received a confirmation from GoDaddy that port 1129 is open.

    I have installed the Linkpoint API under the Zen Cart Admin as well as installing the .pem file received.

    I have enable cURL in the Admin as well as using the IP address of GoDaddy's proxy.

    I am using Zen Cart 1.3.7.

    I am getting a message of "We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are presently unable to contact the Credit Card company for authorization."

    Any suggestions?

    Merlinpa - Yes, I have uploaded the PEM file and deleted the PEM file included with ZenCart (the one that said REPLACE_WITH_YOUR_FILE.PEM or something like that).

    I updated the cURL to the address provided and attempted the transaction again and it still said that the communication could be not established.

    I was given a host name from LinkPoint of secure.linkpt.net. Does this address need to be inegrated anywhere?

    Also, I am using the payment module of Linkpoint that came with Zen 1.3.7. Should I be using the module that I see in the download section instead?

    you dont need to worry about the linkpoint url, and the built in module is the one that you need to use,
    I know that there are issues with linkpoint and godaddy,
    all I can say is call godaddy and ask then how to use the system they have in place

    General Configuration Instructions for Linkpoint on GoDaddy Hosting:

    FYI ... If you're using GoDaddy hosting and want to use LinkPoint as your payment gateway, you will have to subscribe to one of GoDaddy's more expensive "Virtual Hosting" or "Dedicated Hosting" packages.

    Why?
    LinkPoint needs to use cURL on port 1129.
    On GoDaddy's "Shared Hosting" package, only ports 80, 8080, 443 are available via cURL.

    If you have one of their Virtual/Dedicated packages, port 1129 is automatically available for you.

    Or ... you could switch to another hosting company

    [Information obtained during a discussion with Rob at GoDaddy's Expert Hands Hosting Support Team in July]

    From the Linkpoint Installation Instructions::
    UPLOAD YOUR Digital Certificate (.PEM) key:
    - Log in to your LinkPoint/Yourpay account on their website
    - Click on "Support" in the Main Menu Bar.
    - Click on the word "Download Center" under Downloads in the Side Menu Box.
    - Click on the word "download" beside the "Store PEM File" section on the right-hand side of the page.
    - Key in necessary information to start download. You will need to supply your actual SSN or Tax ID which you submitted during the merchant account boarding process.
    - Upload this file to includes/modules/payment/linkpoint_api/XXXXXX.pem (provided by LinkPoint - xxxxxx is your store id)

    CONFIGURING THE MODULE:
    ======================
    1. Go to the Admin ...
    2. Go to Modules ...
    3. Go to Payment ...
    4. Select LinkPoint/YourPay API, and click Install

    (If you already had the LinkPoint/YourPay module installed, note your account number and other settings, and then REMOVE and re-INSTALL this module.)

    5. Enter your appropriate information provided by LinkPoint or YourPay
    - Merchant ID --- this is the same as the number in the PEM file you uploaded earlier for your account

    - LinkPoint Transaction Mode Response -- Set this to Production for normal use, or simulate some tests using the Successful/Decline options (See below for testing instructions)

    - Authorization Type - In most cases you will want to do an "Immediate Charge" to capture payment immediately. In some situations, you may prefer to simply "Authorize" transactions, and then manually use your Merchant Terminal to formally capture the payments (esp if payment amounts may fluctuate between placing the order and shipping it)

    - Set Order Status - For Captured and Approved orders, what order-status should be set? Default recommended is "Processing"

    - PREAUTH Order Status - For transactions that are only "authorized" but not captured, this order status setting will be used. Recommended: "Pending"

    - Sort Order of Display -- Any value greater than zero will cause this payment method to appear in the specified sort order on the checkout-payment page

    - Payment Zone - if you want only customers from a particular zone to be able to use this payment module, select that zone here.

    - Fraud Alerts -- if the module is informed that a particular purchase may be fraudulent, do you want to be notified by email? Emails will go to the Store Owner's email address as specified in Admin->Configuration->Email Options

    - Enable Database Storage - If you enable this option, extended details of each transaction will be stored, enabling you to more effectively conduct audits of fraudulent activity or even track/match order information between Zen Cart and your LinkPoint records.
    And to that, add the GoDaddy proxy switch:
    a. Admin->Configuration->My Store
    b. cURL Proxy Status = true
    c. cURL Proxy Address = proxy.shr.secureserver.net:3128

    Do you know if there is a way to verify that port 1129 is open besides calling GoDaddy? They seem to give me a hard time when calling about my VDS.

    Also, there seems to be better hosting accounts out there. Do you know if it is difficult to switch to another hosting company? When upgrading from shared to VDS, I had to reinstall everything and configure the entire store over again including adding all the products. I am kind of partial to GoDaddy as I have all my domains registered with them but at this point I am willing to go with anyone else who can offer an easy transition to a more reliable Zen Cart/LinkPoint hosting company.

    Gour, any of the hosts referenced above in the link named "hosting" can make a smooth transition for you.

    godaddy will not open port 1129 and there is no work around for this,
    linkpoint ONLY works on this port
