Header breadcrumb

Hi,

After upgrading I realized that the useful header breadcrumb has disappeared. Does anyone know how to make it show up again? I heard that the v1.3.7 has footer breadcrumb but I don't see it. Please advise. Thanks in advance.

You've checked the Config -> Layout settings -> Define Breadcrumb Status switch ?

As advised in another thread, you are using a Template Monster template and they are nortorius for designing outside of the Zen Cart structure and your template is not designed/upgraded for 1.3.7 so that many of the default fixes/controls will not be responsive to changes that you make via the admin settings.

Kobra, my template is not from Template Monster but Algozone. I spoke to them they said there are no differences in the template code. All differences come from changes in ZenCart code base. They said they can not guarantee complete match with old ZenCart, because it is already different version of the cart that I use.

Sorry, But they are giving you the run around because the bredcrumb div class has not changed in the 1.3.x series...now if your template is only compatible with the 1.2.x series this is an issue.

And as far as I am aware of Algozone resells TM Templates.

Knowing that they didn't make dodgy template, do you know how to make the header (and footer?) breadcrumb to reappear?

The template is designed outside of the standard Zen Cart structure...and as a result many of the default fixes/controls will not be responsive to changes that you make via the admin settings or through the stylesheet css.

This leaves one to get with the template provider for these issues as most assistance here is for issues that are more compliant to the Zen Cart structure. They have designed a pretty template but done so with added tables and this causes many normal adjustments to have to be different than what would be normally required

This is chicken or egg....Correct there is no difference in the template code and there needs to be to be compatible with the new release of Zen Cart....So what they are really saying is that the template is not compatible with the current version of Zen Cart...Templates are designed to change the look of applications....applications are not designed to make a templates work

I got my header breadcrumb back by simply copying and pasting the code that controls the breadcrumb from the old file. For some reason, they just deleted them in the latest version of zencart... I find the breadcrumb important and useful for customers.
