Default charging credit card AFTER I have shipped product

    Hi Guys,

Because of various reasons I'm trying to setup my zencart so I can charge the customer AFTER I ship the product. Is there anyway to do tihs? I see that the admin page has :

    Authorization Type
    Authorize/Capture

So I can certainly use "Authorize Only", but how do I proceed once the order is placed and I'm ready to ship? I'm using Authorize.net, do I have to manually Capture the card after I ship it? Any way to do this automatically with zencart? How are other people doing it, is everyone authorizing and capturing? What do you do if the customer ends up canceling the order before you ship it, seems to be a hassle to charge the card back.

    Thanks in advance!

Yes, you need to do it manually via the authorize.net virtual terminal.

not at the present time. If you would like to help fund the development of this feature, PM me.

If you're using authorize-net-AIM or Linkpoint or PayPal Express Checkout, you can choose Authorize Only from the module settings in Zen Cart admin.
