Product Breadcrumb Showing "Linked" category

I have several products linked to multiple other products and they work great except that the breadcrumb description when you get to the actual product description page shows the category the product was "linked" from instead of what category the product is actually in. I've turned off the category image so that you just see the "linked" name but it's still a bit confusing to the viewer. Everything is set up main category, sub-category, sub-sub category. I don't have products listed in let's say sub-category along with the sub-category categories if that makes any sense. Just hoping there's any easy answer. If not, is there a way to delete the name (text) above the previous category image (which is turned off in admin)?

Sorry is this is a bit confusing. I have been working on this for almost two months without ever needing to ask a quesiton because of the great search feature and information on this forum. But I'm now stumped....

Basically this is correct as this product only exists in one place and is linked from that location.

You might post a url directly to the page that has what you want to remove

If the product is relevant to several categories, then it is correct to show the path by which the customer reached it, not necessarily the one where it "lives". It's the same product in any case. What would the customer think if they followed cat A & subcat B to product C and then only saw that it lived in subcat Q? Or didn't see any clue to where they were in the site? Or hit the back button and went up to subcat Q and cat P? Or saw that they were in subcat Q, hit the back button and went to subcat B?....

Sorry, I was really tired last night when I posted. It's not the breadcrumb that is showing where the product is linked from. It's the previous next name & image that you can control in Admin-Product Info.

0 Category Name & Image always show
1 Category Name only
2 Category Name & Image when blank

I don't want the image to show so I can turn that off. But I don't want the category name to show either. How can I get rid of that text?

Click on Twins Birth Announcements, then Boy/Girl Twins, then closet of Baby Clothes. I don't want Quads & more to show above the product image. This product originates in Quads & more category and is linked to Boy/Girl twins in Twins Birth Announcements because the card works for any combo. of twins, triplets, quads etc. But it seems a bit confusing to have quads and more above an announcement for boy/girl twins.

In the admin > config > product info > Previous Next - Navigation Includes Category Position > set to "0" off
