    Update version 1.00 (Alpha)

    * Forces SSL if its set to be used in configure.php
    * Added "@" to all mysql functions.
    * Removed "@" to all mysql functions.
    * Added log file for errors.
    * Makes the bookkeeping table `bk_expenses` if it has not been made already. (No SQL to upload by the user. The table may change soon to accept encrypted data)
    * Shows customer data for an order number.
    * Saves order number as secure cookie.
    * Log in to Zen Cart, admin>tools>Bookkeeping
    * Re add display for product sold for an order number
    * Re add form for expense per order (with add a row button)
    * Expense form multiplies the quantity and price then copies it to total.
    * JavaScript table for account numbers and descriptions
    * Account description populates the account number field
    * Quantity, Unit price, and Line Total now calculate with onkeyup event
    * encryption: The program will rely on SSL for security and privacy, it will not operate with out SSL.
    * Project renamed to Zen Bookkeeping. New logo.
    * Saves expense form data.

    Help Needed

    1. code check for cross and sql injection
    2. look for issues with display
    3. post any errors and error log.

    Working on

    1. design and create Vendor / Inventory expense input.
    2. Reports
    3. Instruction book

Hmm, not working for me at the moment but unsure why! You may also like to check out your error_log file on that latest download which contains the full path to your admin.

OOPS on the public error log. I guess its time to change the folder name. Would you send my the error log for your trial run of the bookkeeping program so I can see what went wrong.

    Thanks Dennis

Unfortunately other than your errors the log is empty ........

The symptoms of my error are that no order data is loaded into the bookeeping module. Other than that there are no errors in any of the logs. Not much help I'm afraid....

    This is a great idea.

I currently have a brick & mortar location, and I am closing it after 9 years(overhead is killing me). I am changing it to a internet store for local customers with free local delivery. Not all of my loyal customers use the internet, so I needed a way to take orders over the phone. I currently use QB retail acounting program(even that takes a degree to learn). Although I am not a programer, I do have a pretty good knowledge of how programing works. I haven't really leaned any language since DOS. But have gained a new interst since comming across ZC.

My interest is a working alternative that will allow me to track inventory, sales and COG, and I can plug the numbers into my QB. The biggest complaint I have about QB is that it seems that they never ran a business themselves where they had to do all the work. I digress!!

I understand there are addon's that you can use to add inventory(ie Easy Populate) but even that is not easy to master for a novice. The added benifit of POS sounds like a great idea.

I would like to help out in this project, but as a programer I would be useless. I hope to learn more, but until then I am willing to do any grunt work you may need, or just to add comment. If not I will be watching you work and cheering you on...
