Default Mathematical and input testing needed

Mathematical and input testing needed. No server required. This is just javascript. Unzip the file and launch index.htm. Please report any issues in this thread. I found a javascript api named qform. I really like it, and it has simplified error checking big time.

    The math works very well.

However, it seems to also calculate in reverse often ending up with a value that is much more than 2 decimal places. Also, if there are no decimal places, it does not include them so $4.80 looks like 4.8

Otherwise, everything is beautiful in the calculations.

this is interesting. thanks for making this happen.. what I'd need is a .cvs etc. file import so I'd import books directly from zen to our bookkeeping. is it possible with this one yet?

This module is not yet to that stage, but there is already a module that does that for invoices.

    http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=170

I hope this helps a bit.

I am obsessed with accuracy. Changes is display may come later. Suggestions that change the display but not the value are welcome.

I stream lined the HTML and javascript. Also added the New Row button back in. I need to move on and incorporate this in to the project.

    red flag Re: Bookkeeping module

    Hi,

I installed your book keeping module by ftp the files to the correct folders. I am not sure if it works. How do I find out? How do I use this module? Thanks.

    dealbyethan.com;
Thank you for look at the design. Please note the program is far from complete. And I have not added any help or documentation files yet. Sorry, I am working on them.
Note: The project has been renamed to Zen Bookkeeping and is still in the form design state.

This version is a total remake of the code and how the layout is managed.

    Update
    • Forces SSL if its set to be used in configure.php
    • Added "@" to all mysql functions.
    • Removed "@" to all mysql functions.
    • Added log file for errors.
    • Makes the bookkeeping table `bk_expenses` if it has not been made already. (No SQL to upload by the user. The table may change soon to accept encrypted data)
    • Shows customer data for an order number.
    • Saves order number as secure cookie.
    • Log in to Zen Cart, admin>tools>Bookkeeping
    • Re add display for product sold for an order number
    • Re add form for expense per order (with add a row button)
    • Expense form multiplies the quantity and price then copies it to total.
    • JavaScript table for account numbers and descriptions
    • Account description populates the account number field
    • Quantity, Unit price, and Line Total now calculate with onkeyup event
    • encryption: The program will rely on SSL for security and privacy, it will not operate with out SSL.
    • Project renamed to Zen Bookkeeping. New logo.

    Help Needed
    1. code check for cross and sql injection
    2. look for issues with display
    3. post any errors and error log.

    Working on
    1. Save expense form data.
    2. design and create Vendor / Inventory expense input.
    3. Reports
    4. Instruction book

    Stagebrace,

I am helping you on this module - but I don't yet have the answers for your last request for help.

I did want to tell you - I finally was able to get the "openbravo" up and running.

IT IS INCREDIBLE. TALK ABOUT POS - TINA's POS LINKS WITH IT AND IT WORKS GREAT.

THERE IS ONE VERY BIG PROBLEM THOUGH -

THE DATABASE IN THE MODULE IS RELATIONAL USING POSTGESQL.

AS YOU WRITE THIS MODULE - PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT WE WILL BE WANTING TO CROSS REFERENCE THE TWO DATABASES.

POSTGESQL is supposed to be much faster and state of the art open source.

I am trying to learn the JAVA as fast as I can so I can help out.

I will answer your call for help as soon as I get a chance.
