    This is a great idea.

I currently have a brick & mortar location, and I am closing it after 9 years(overhead is killing me). I am changing it to a internet store for local customers with free local delivery. Not all of my loyal customers use the internet, so I needed a way to take orders over the phone. I currently use QB retail acounting program(even that takes a degree to learn). Although I am not a programer, I do have a pretty good knowledge of how programing works. I haven't really leaned any language since DOS. But have gained a new interst since comming across ZC.

My interest is a working alternative that will allow me to track inventory, sales and COG, and I can plug the numbers into my QB. The biggest complaint I have about QB is that it seems that they never ran a business themselves where they had to do all the work. I digress!!

I understand there are addon's that you can use to add inventory(ie Easy Populate) but even that is not easy to master for a novice. The added benifit of POS sounds like a great idea.

I would like to help out in this project, but as a programer I would be useless. I hope to learn more, but until then I am willing to do any grunt work you may need, or just to add comment. If not I will be watching you work and cheering you on...

    Hi all,

I am very excited about the potential of this mod as well. I have a degree in accounting and am a former auditor for one of the "Big 4" public accounting firms, so I thought I could give my 2 cents. I tried downloading and installing it, but it doesn't seem to work for me. Am I missing something? Is there no MYSQL statements to process? All I see when I go to bookkeeping in tools is a blank page and one link that states "Expenses per order." When I click on it, I just get a blank page?

I apologize if this is a dumb question. I am by no means a novice to zencart. Thanks

Thank you Voltage. I need your feedback and knowledge. You are correct on getting the page with a single link because that page has not been designed yet. It will eventually be the main selection page. But right now it only goes to the series 6000 input form. In your case it goes to nowhere which tells me the program exited.

The last share I posted had two different versions of the program. Did you try both? Were the results the same? Can you send me error logs? For your security, clean the log text of your admin folder name.

    stagebrace,

This is beilana again. I took the idea about eventually linking this to the openbravo module running on postgrel to a techy guy who is a cousin of mine.

He thought it might be hard to get PostgeSQL and MySQL to run on the the same system with the same user at the same time.

Therefore, to run both softwares together would require two separate machines likely accessing eachother through the web or something like that.

This might be difficult or make things run to slowly. I don't know. We may have to scrap the idea of integration until they can get it to run on MySQL.

FYI - there is a new CRM that made a debut on a google article that looks promising. It is called QueWeb 3.0.0.8. However this may not be as much help for now because we are working on book keeping and not customer relations.

I installed your newest version - WOW - you have come a long way. I will help with the spelling as well.

I am willing to help anywhere I can.

I tried both versions and my page comes up the same way, goes to a blank page.
