Use same layout for all products?

Hello! I'm new to zencart so please be gentle with me

I'm setting up a site for a friend (bike sales) and would like to know if its possible to use a single template for all products? All my products are very similar, they just have slightly different specifications, e.g:

Handle Bars: ???
Pedals: ???
Gears: ???

Is this possible? Just trying to save a bit of time if I can! On a similar token can I manipluate the item description at all? I would assume so but can't figure it out as yet so all text appears on one line.

Make a generic product with all the common info filled in, and then copy(duplicate) it as many times as you want.
All the copies will show up as the same name but deactivated. Edit each one into a specific product.

You can use HTML in your product description, either directly or by using an HTML editor (switch in admin).

Another one if you will... How do I duplicate items? Can i be done through admin??

admin, catalog, categories/products and find what you want to dupe. select the copy icon (blue circle with the 'c' on it) selct the category you want it in (should be the same one as the one your copying by default) and change the copy method to duplicate product. it will make an exact copy that is disabled so you can make whatever changes you need, click the red box under status when your done making changes. repeat ad nauseum.
