Will ZenCart ever be compatible -

with PHP 5.2.1?

My hosts have been running some version of this and everything was fine and then WHAM, Sunday my store was all screwed up and then I find out that ZC and this version of PHP aren't compatible.

They are compatible. Php 5.2 just needs a little tweaking. Your hosting company should correct this for you.

Please, please tell me what tweaks need to be done because I had one of the techs here tell me that is WAS NOT compatible and I was getting ready to switch over to osCommerce. My hosts are willing to help me I just don't know what to tell them to do.

OK, I am SO confused! Did you not tell me that 5.2 wasn't compatible??? Maybe I misunderstood.

So if 5.2 is compatible and I did a clean install this afternoon then why doesn't my store work?

Yes it works with 5.2.1 however the issues you have have NOTHING to do with 5.2.1 since it was working just fine then it stopped.

you need to ask them what they did different,

and dont let em give you any crap about they didnt do anything,

What else do I need to be looking for or asking them since I thought 5.2 was the major issue?

I will put in as many support tickets with them as it takes I just need to know what questions to ask them.

I am sorry, I am so frustrated right now. Our site is less than two weeks old and this is NOT the way I wanted to start out.

I've obviously got something wrong and everyone's telling me that it's someone else's problem. All I want to do is sit in the corner and cry. I know you are trying to help.

ASK THEM WHAT THEY CHANGED

dont let them tell you that they didnt change anything,
you said its been working just fine, now it dosnt. that means SOMETHING happened.

you have re-uploaded ALL files so you know its not zen cart

that only leaves the server, you might want ot ask them if they re-compiled php with phpsuexec

I DID ask them what they changed and they said they didn't change anything! I can't exactly call them up and call them liars. I mentioned the phpsusex and they didn't say anything about it.

I will put in a support ticket and ask them again and see if I get a different response.
