How do I move the Sideboxes

This may be a simple question that has been asked, but I can't figure out how to move the sideboxes? I see that you can size them from the Admin>Configuration>Layout Settings

Another question, how do you size the middle of the page and not just the left and right sideboxes?

Any help is appreciated, even if you can point me to another post. I've searched with no luck.

In admin > tools > layout boxes controller > you can set for left, right on, off and set sort order

Another question, how do you size the middle of the page and not just the left and right sideboxes?

You really can not size the center it is what remains on your width minus left and right widths

Maybe I am missing something or I am not explaining what my problem is. When I go to "checkout" , on the 1st checkout page my right border is overlapping the shipping prices. I am trying to figure out how to move the right border to the right so that it does not cover the prices on shipping.
