Default pesky margin-top and center issues

After upgrading to 1.3.7 from 1.2.something I can not coerce the margin at the top to zero pix. Clicking from the 'Home' to 'Shop' areas also show some kind of text-align left issue- notice the content boinks to the left and down about 10 pixels. I've tried adding the usual bodytags to the tpl_header file where my custom nav table is and everything else in the stylesheet that seems relevant with no effect except to override the width constraints or some other thing that I don't want to change.

Soon, apparently, we will see a version of Zencart with a stylesheet that is just a list of tags separated by commas with one group of auto parameters for all :-b

Your header area is completely nonstandard, so it's hard to say just what is causing your issoe.
For one thing, the DHTML menu is outside (above) the headerWrapper, which might cause some extra spacing.
You have disabled all of the stock header elements, and your custom elements don't have many class/id tags, so there is not much the stylesheet can do here.

The menu itself isn't outside the headerWrapper but the javascript path is. That's fairly standard for javascript menus. The custom elements are instructed by the .js file whose path is inside the header. None of this is irregular as you know, and it totally worked in the last version of zencart.

Thanks for the reply though... I'll keep trying.

the older version of zen used tables, 1.3.x uses css stylesheets to control the page layout. nothing is impossible, but it will take some work.
it will probably be easier to start with a new template and make it look like your old one rather than to hack and slash what you have already

Listen to Glenn, he's been here longer than I have :)
