Can ZenCart still be used if JavaScript is disabled?

I know ZenCart currently uses a little JavaScript in parts e.g. the popup window for larger images in the product info display. If a customer's browser has JavaScript disabled is ZenCart still usable to the point of being able to make a purchase, even if some functionality e.g. the popup windows is disabled?

I am thinking of including some custom JavaScript into my site but am wondering whether I would lose any business from customers who have JavaScript disabled. If ZenCart requires it enabled to work in the first place I've got nothing to lose by including it...

ZC has built-in allowances for js being disabled. Look at the code, e.g. in tpl_modules_main_product_image.php, and note the <noscript> tags. If you use those for alternate handling when js is off, your users won't be inconvenienced.

Some thought last night led me to the exact same conclusion in regards to ensuring my code has alternate handling for non-js enabled users. Javascript users get the bells and whistles and non-Javascript enabled browsers can still use the site, albeit minus some features.

At least now I know I'm not wasting my time doing that. Cheers gjh42.
