Is this possible?

I have a page with several attributes on it in the form of mostly drop downs. If I made one of them a checkbox instead is it possible to change how the checkbox attribute displays? For example, the checkbox attribute has 68 options to choose from in it so it displays as a really long column of checkboxes. Is there a way to make it appear as 2 columns side by side in order to save some space on the page and it not just display as one long column? Anyone know if this is possible?

If you peek at the Option Names Manager ... there is a handy dandy Edit button ...

Behind door number one are options for how to display the attributes of a given Option Name ...

How would I use these options to make the checkbox attributes display side by side in 2 columns rather than 1 single long column like it is showing under Fragrance Oil #1 at: http://www.simetraonline.com/index.p...&products_id=2

One setting that works is:
Attribute Images per Row: 2
Attribute Style for Radio Buttons/Checkbox: 3

Linda you are a genius! It doesnt look like it will work for me though, darn. Because I have so many options it looked a little crazy. =( I am trying to find a way to re-organize that one page so I can decrease the number of attributes I am using so the page will load faster.

Any creative ideas? =)

NOTE: on the Option Name Group of Attributes that you must make a selection, set a "pick from below" Option Value as:
Sort Order 0
Default YES
Display Only YES

What this does is force the customer to make a valid choice on those specific Option Names ...

Linda, I am curious, on the checkbox options, is there a way to set the images per row to a number greater than 1 and be able to have the columns show with the checkbox to the left and the option name to the right?

For instance, if you have it set to 0 rows and 0 for the style it shows with the checkbox to the left of the option name and it lists it in 1 long column. Is there a way to have more than one column but keep that format? I tried to set the row to 2 and the style to 0 or 1 but it doesnt change the way it displays unless i pick 3,4, or 5 and then it puts the checkbox either below or above the option name.

The option that puts the option name beside the checkbox will not work if you use more than one column.

I appreciate all your help.

I have decided to water down that page in a different way in order to work around the limitations and to eliminate the slow load time. I split up the gift bag page into several different gift bags and instead of the long list of attributes I added a link to the fragrance list and used text boxes. Until there is a better way I think this will work nicely.
