Well another snag! My link in the ezpages is giving a 404 error. I went into the ezpages and changes the address toand try the link and it gives the 404 and the address it shows isCode:/includes/templates/primative/show_schedule/show_schedule.htmlis there something else I have to change?Code:http://www.rbackyard.net/rbackyard/includes/templates/primative/show_schedule/show_schedule.html
I am having this same problem, however I have only found one configure.php file in my includes folder. Should I point the catalog lines to the zencart folder the application made? I was told there is another configure.php file in the sitemanager folder, but I haven't found it. So I have only found one file to change so far which I'm sure is problem too. The configuration.php file in the sitemangaer doesn't have information I see that has to be changed.
From the FAQ it looked like I had to login to my database and also change something in the admin? Is this right? I'm so completely confused..![]()
I had an exisiting website, I'm moving it to another host and it's just not coming up. I wish I had looked on here first for certified zencart hosts..didn't know they had them!! Our new one won't help at all, and I've paid for a year upfront.
Thanks, Theresa

<<<<<<<<The second file is admin/includes/configure.php. Try editing that first and if afterwards your site's still not working describe as precisely as you can what is happening.

I have to try this again, there is something missing there. I'll post again after changing once more. I also think I made a boo boo when I did "overwrite" on the installed new cart with my files. Let me try again and see what we come up with. Thank you!
Afterthought.. I was thinking I could wipe the new database out and start over again.. there were some things about the existing site I didn't care for, like the template. Maybe I could use the old files as a reference since they were all configured and did work correctly and make the site a bit different...![]()
Thanks, Theresa
I've got a slightly different problem, I think. I installed a module which mucked up my site. So I uninstalled it. However when I installed it and subsequently uninstalled it I'm not able to goto my front page by just pointing it to http:/.../store I get the following 404 message.
Not Found
The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
However if I type http://.../store/index.php it works. Why is it like this now? The index.php is there, but i doesn't think it's there unless I type index.php in the address.
Does anybody have any ideas why this is happening and how I can correct it?
The database has very little to do with your template, other than knowing which one to point to and which sideboxes to have on. I wouldn't recommend deleting it.
Your problems seem to be rooted in the configure.php files and possibly your code, though if it were just your template that you didn't like, you could simply install a new one and switch to that. You'll find a link in you sig below that will take you to a site where you can see most of the free Zen Cart templates in action.

This is part of re: site doesn't work..
I decided that I would try to start over from our old site. This is so hard to explain by email.. in short, I deleted the database I had tried to transfer my files over to. I deleted the files (after backing them up though) from my server.. I started fresh.. those are out of the way.. I even took them off my hard drive so it would locate them..
So I went and made a new database but then realized the installed zen cart application was still attached to the old even though the database was gone. So I re-installed zen cart. (Thinking I deleted the newly made database that zen cart was not picking up) Great, a zen cart was showing up at joyoushome.com/joymanager
I only need one database right?! This am I saw two. The second one I assumed was the re-installed version because it had all the files correct, and I could get into admin from the application page. I thought I had deleted the new one I tried to make before I realized I needed to re-install the cart. So I deleted that one. I could get into the admin this morning, but then all of sudden I can't. After I downloaded the new files to my computer is when I realized I couldn't get in. I needed to get into the admin-configuration-sessions to fix that, but can't get in now.
I get this now:
0 DB_ERROR_NOT_CONNECTED
in:
[select * from zen_project_version WHERE project_version_key = 'Zen-Cart Database' ]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.
I've uploaded the new configure.php files changed to what I think is correct, but nothing seems to be working right. So will the host help get any files old or new to work with their service? No, so I've asked for my money back and they will give it back, but told me I might as well try to fix it because I'd be charged the rest of the month anyway. So I've been trying to get something to work.. urrrgg..
I don't care if I have to start from scratch, the site needed a different look with our new vision for it. I have another site that is up on zencart designed by our old host that works. We switched because of hackers and bad customer service, but I only moved the one that wasn't doing well. I have access to those files I can compare when making a fresh site.. but I can't even get in the front door of getting something to work! My weakness is file paths...![]()
I'm not sure what help I need here, any help at this point is appreciated because I'm frazzled to the gilly.![]()
