is the file path error generated because the upload was done via ftp and not via the media manager?

The Media Clips are itty bitty 30 second or less shorts of the music that one would like to buy in the /media directory ... (short files)

The Download on the Attribute is in the /download and this is protected ... the redirect further protects the actual download being purchased ... (bigger files)

    Are you using this backwards?

The directory /media doesn't display the filenames for you because there is an index.html in there ... (security/safety so thieves don't snoop and steal 'em)

    yes i was --- 1am here atm

the full download file i had ftp'd to the media folder not the download folder hence the wrong filepath when purchasing.

    Summation:

    1. Unless you want all of your artists songs available as a demo within a category regardless of what track is on the display page you must create seperate Media Collections. I found this useful and works without errors

    <Artistname> - <Albumname> - <Singlename>

    2. small *.mp3 *.wav files for the media manager less than 2MB as it seems there were others having the same hosting issues can be uploaded using media manger.

    3. Create an attribute setting I have used the bitrate of the track. This then allows you to encompass the downloadable file attributes and filepaths.

    4. The acutal download file can be ftp'd to the /downloads folder without issue as long as the attributes are set.

    Thanks for all the help!!

ps i hope this is the last post needed here
