Generating backups via cpanel

Hiya,

I seem to have problems generating "home directory" backups with Sashbox. Anyone else have this problem? When using the link through Cpanel - it seems to create the archive for download.......and then starts to download - it then terminates early.

When i try to open the TAR file it reports it as corrupt. I didnt have this problem about 2 weeks ago. (since then Sashbox sent out a service announcement saying they had upgraded the kernel version on server "Green2").

Anyone else having this problem with Sashbox?

I don't use Sashbox BUT have had similar problems using CPanel
with another host..using Firefox instead of
IE6 or IR7 makes difference..

Have you tried the Downloads ... Admin Tools ... Backup SQL ... that we created?

Good suggestion Ajeh, however CPanel home backups are used for backing up complete site, including all files/folders.. not just sql

Yeah, I have no problem backing up my SQL, run a cron for that anyway. Just this home directory backup.....and the thing is it is quite likely that I will email sashbox (already have done now) and they will never get back to me. As seems to be the case in recent months. Still, I do need to sort out complete backups as, well....obvious reasons really lol

unless you have made changes you really dont need to do complete backups
