Boxes in header

OK - there was a time in 1.2.x days when I was a wiz and moving things around and knew where most zen cart stuff was.

I never upgraded past 1.2.7. Over the past few months I've tried several times to create my new template in the latest version with no luck. I tried to hire someone a couple of times but family emergencies have stepped in made it impossible to pay some on. I am ready to shut the store down, sell it, or otherwise get rid of it.

This is my last ditch effort to try to modify a 1.3.7 template so that I can upgrade the store.

I want always visible login box and shopping cart boxes in my header. I've tried moving code from the modules/sideboxes/ files for these two boxes but all I do in break the page.

Any specific guidance on what I am supposed to do to move these boxes would be greatly appreciated.

Are there any guidelines for doing this. I know it's been done as I've seen it in templates for sale on the major template sites. I would really appreciate it if someone who has done this could help point me in the right direction.

Perhaps Apple Zen, Simple Zen, or TruBlu are similar
to what you want, and you can see how they accomplished that look.

Thanks for that link. The simple zen template with the shopping cart and account links in the header should get me started.

The pups are doing great. They are almost a year old now and are keeping us on our toes.
