    Default PayPal Checkout setup question.

When my customers are sent to the PayPal website for checkout they see the following text:

PayPal is the authorized payment processor for (my_email_address)@comcast.net.
    I want it to say:
PayPal is the authorized payment processor for Tennessee Genealogy Books .com.
Like I see for other websites I have purchased from that use PayPal to accept payments.

I have looked at everything I can find on PayPals website but I can't find the information about how to make the change.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks in advance!

You will need to talk to the PayPal folks about changing the business name on your account.
Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

Changing the business name is more difficult as setting up a new account IMHO.

You have to call Paypal, and ask them to send you the link to the form to change your info. Then you have to fill out the form, have it certified and then fax it back with a copy of you drivers license.

To me, this is allot of work. Besides, for accounting reasons you really should have a checking account for each business, and there are so many free checking accounts out there that allow ach so that paypal can access it. Paypal will not allow you to use one checking account for two businesses.

My suggestion would be to open another checking account under your name. And setup a paypal account to access that name.

You may need to get a business license for that business as well though.

Even if you decide to close the other business, it's a cleaner way of doing it.

Another solution would be to change your payment gateway to Google Checkout. They are free till Dec 31 2008.

However you'll need an SSL.. search for my username and read the SSL hassles I'm going through now and it will save you some time and money in getting the SSL.
