Orders not processing

Hello, I have upgraded from 1.3.5 to 1.3.7. In doing so I created a new database. Every thing seems to work fine, other than upon returning from PAYPAL there is no order number or even a indication that the order had been placed. I checked to see if the order was being inserted in the old database - but that's no the case.

The config files point towards the proper database - any one have any suggestions?

Uninstall your module - add the most recent patch for PayPal, reinstall your module and test.

I am having the same problem but I do not understand which module to uninstall and where to find the paypal patch. Pelase help. No information about the orders placed shows up in my zencart admin area where as I see the payment received when I login to my paypal account.

The current PayPal Patch is at:

Load the current PayPal Patch to your site ...

Then go to the Modules ... Payments ...

Uninstall and reinstall your Payment module ... then reconfigure it ...

Ok I have installed the latest patch, uninstalled my payment module and it is still not working.

I have tried ordering with a coupon, and with a small fee... none of my orders appear in the New Orders column of Admin... the thing that is really weird is that I set this all up and tested it on 04/20/07 and all was working just fine... I haven't made any code changes since then... I have just been adding product in the store.

Can anyone give any idea as to where to start?

Can you complete an order with Money Order?

Does it show up in the Admin Orders and the Customer Account information?

Ok tried that... same thing happens the order completes I get the download links but they don't show up in the New orders column on the Admin page and then when I log back in to my account the order doesn't appear there either. But I do get the confirmation e-mail that would go to the customer, as well as the Orders column in the bottom left corner for Pending... that number increases but then I click on the hyperlink and the order isn't there... I have selected All in the Status drop down and still nothing.

After I posted I realized that I did actually change the shipping options, all of my products are virtual downloads so I don't ever want to charge for shipping but that is the only changes that I have made since I tested this out on 04/20/07.

Thanks for your help with this... I am really new to all of this stuff so I could really use the help.

If you go to Customer ... Orders ... and enter the orders_id for that order that you made with Money Order ... does it show up?

Yep all the orders that I entered on Friday and Saturday will display if I look for them individually... but they don't appear when the All option is selected or when you first enter the Customers... Orders module.

Check in the Modules ... Order Totals ...

Is the Total ot_total installed?

Sounds like you are missing this ...

If not installed, install it ...

Your missing orders will NOT appear, but future orders will ...

You can fix the missing orders by adding the missing records if you want to have them listed ...

:blink:So, I read all the posts in this topic and since I have the same problem, I was really hoping it would be the answer. Unfortunately it wasn't. When I do a test order I get the order confirmation e-mail, and it shows up in the New Orders section of Admin, but when you click the order from there it goes to the Orders page, but the order does not show, even though the order id is now filled in on the top left corner. If you click in the order id box behind the number and hit enter then the page for that order shows up. I can change status for the order and comments and that all works. Back to the main Admin page now: the order does not show up in the Orders box on the left bottom corner (Pending, Processing, etc.).

I do have the ot_total module installed - in fact I uninstalled it and re-installed it again just to be sure.

Does anyone having any more suggestions for me to try? I've worked in Zen Cart for a while now, but I don't really understand how all the parts work together, so I'm having trouble trying to figure this one out.

If you search for the Order number can you find it?

If you look at the orders table in the database via phpMyAdmin do you see the orders_id?

If you look in the Modules ... Order Total ... do you find that the Total ot_total is not installed? :eek:

Scratch that idea ... you said it is in there ...

Do you have sort orders on the order total modules? Do any conflict with one another?

If you look in the orders_total table and find the orders_id ... do you have an entry for the field class called: ot_total on the orders_id that you cannot see?

I did not have order showing up either under the customer or in the order status. They would only show up if I typed in the order number in customers/orders.

Here's what I did. Not the most spectacular solution, but it worked. I have another older version of ZenCart. I went in there and pulled all the settings for: config/My Store, config/Shipping/Packing, Modules/Payment, Modules/Shipping, and Modules/Order Totals, and plugged those values into the one that wasn't working. Don't know which one, or combination them, worked, but it's got it working fine now. All the orders are showing up where they should be and payments are processing properly as well.

Thanks so much for the suggestions offered. Definitely steered me as to where to look for the problem.

Hi

I am using Paypal IPN and tested the module using Sandbox.
Do I need to intstall the patch too as I didn't get any order number after completing the paypal payment?:frusty:


And the sandbox does not return back to the set URL automatically. Please help.
