MultiSite Module Support Thread

I am using Super Orders, Edit Orders, and Ty Package tracker tp on some sites, and have no problem with their functioning. Just be very careful with merging if necessary.

do you mean merging Multisite files with SO, EO, and TY after the before mentioned are installed? Or Merging the files for the three when installing them?
NOTE: I am using EO 4.1.1 RC1 because I volunteered to test install and use it for lhungl. It may have something to do with that. I just send a PM to lhungl and have to see what he say about this.

I know how to use Winmerge. But have no clue on how merging goes and therefore avoid merge required Mods at all cost.

Winmerge will show you the differences, but you will still need to make the decision yourselves if the code that is not the same needs to be edited.
Some of us here who make and edit the mods make it a good habit of marking the code blocks clearly that are different form the stock code. But never just blindly copy the differences.
Sometimes more than one mod need to change the same block of code, and that can make quite changeling. But without that where would the fun be

You are so right on that. That makes learning more fun in a way especially when you are able to solve the problem.

Question: When I find the blocks of codes that are different, do I just add / or replace the new / different block of code anywhere in the code file as long as they are between two different blocks of code?

Or do I have to make changes to what is inside a specific block of code? I have always been really confused at this.

question 2: How can I tell the different blocks of code apart? Are they marked with special "markers" signafying a beginning and and end of a block of code?

not sure if this is related to the multi site module but now on Google Webmaster Tools, it is showing backlinks from some of my sites to the main site - even though there are no links i can find..

one example is:

it is saying that there are 109 links to http://www.swordsofhonor.com/#######...d-dagger-frogs from various pages in http://www.netswords.com.. one page is http://www.netswords.com/2sworwalsamd.html - another is http://www.netswords.com/###########...d-dagger-frogs

and i can't find a single link on those 2 pages to swordsofhonor.com

swordsofhonor is the main site and netswords is an add-on site.

This could be links from blogs posts anywhere you may have added your link to.
and if it is places that you added your links to and it related to your prodect this is a good thin.
if it is links not related then trace back the link.. and see what the site is and maybe you could find your link on htat page.

Ok.. I have read through this whole thing.. and may have missed it and I have read the documentation and still cannot find out if anyone got this to work.
I have now 4 sites working.
I use my main site like a mini mall . everything can be listed there that I sell.
two sites are selling the samething.. just wanted to use catchy domain names
and now the third site (herasgifts) on the index page shows the products from the other two sizes I disabled the side boxe for feature , whats news and special so the other two sites stuff do not show up.

now under the side box that says categories that works and when ones clicks on the feature or whats new or special.. only items from that site work. but the problem is on the main page of (herasgifts).. I just want the items from (herasgifts) to sohow up..

have you ever been on a blog and answered a question or comment.. and added your web site to it?
okr read a newpaper articile online and made a comment and put your web stie address in there.. or added your web site address to facebook or put pictures on pinrtrest or anything like that?
