MultiSite Module Support Thread

Have two issues:

FIRST: (relatively small)

I've been trying to get my logo to show up in the emails but it's a no go - this is the information in the config_sites file:

define('EMAIL_HEADER_IMAGE','includes/templates/'. $template_dir. '/images/TTS-EMAIL.jpg');

This is the information in the HTML file:

<div class="header"><img src="http://tonersuperstore.com/$EMAIL_HEADER_IMAGE" alt="logo" /> </div>

I've even tried hardcoding the define image - but still, i get a little box with just the alt tag. Help?

SECOND: (huge!!)

Everything (with the exception of the above mentioned email template issue) is running smoothly, with my first store. My second store however will not allow me to login with a new account. I can seemingly create a new account, but it just continues to bounce me out to the sign up/login page when I try to access said account(s). Any ideas on this one?

Also, when I tried to test a credit payment with my first store it wouldn't process the test CC information (41111.... etc).

How are are you handling sessions and cache? DB, file??


As for email... Images are only included in html formatted emails.. Double check your settings.. Config-Email Options-Mime

fotofx - i'm not sure what you mean by how i'm handling the sessions, cashe etc.. i'm not a programmer so most of this is a HUGE learning curve for me.

as for the email, is there any other way to get two email templates so that one is related to the first store and another related to the second store?

If a product doesn't exist in a site/template with the cat_filter tool and multi-site tools configuration, it doesn't show up in the categories nor in the search, etc for that template... however if the exact URL is used but with another domain, it shows up as if it IS on that template/site... any idea how to prevent this?

ex. (using SEO URLs as well)

domain1.com/producttobuy.html < set for JUST domain1

domain2.com doesn't SEE productobuy.html in cats nor search, etc.,
but if you type in direct:

domain2.com/productobuy.html
it shows up like it exists on that site


anybody else seeing this happening as well? I have tried the cat_filter tool on the modules /pages / product_info page but it doesn't do anything...

It is set in your configure.php file for starters..

The way I do it is a seperate root category for each store and only give that store access to that root category..

fotofx - thanks! I didn't do anything, but it's working brilliantly today.

Still stuck on the email header issues.. any ideas on that one?

Now I have two new interesting issues:

I can't run the Credit Card processing test... AND I can't get my flash SWF files to show up

WHEW - got the flash working.. now it's just that damnable credit card processing test.

Did you check the Mime settings I mentioned earlier?

Remember, you can override almost everything including configuration.php from the config sites files.

This would allow you to override

  define('DIR_FS_EMAIL_TEMPLATES', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'email/'); 

Or anything else in the file..

I have multiple... Works great but the docs are the worst and that seems to be why everyone has problems with it.

I spent allot of time trying to figure it out, but once you do it is well worth it..

I want to install this but I want to see it working before I try to decifer the install of it. I specifically want to see that the URLs don't give it away that the sites are linked to the same database.

Hi guys! I'm new in zencart, and I'm trying to install the multisite module.

I'm using the last version of zen cart v1.3.8 .
I have installed the zencart 3 times in mysite.com , shop1.mysite.com , shop2.mysite.com.

Now I'm trying to following the instructions of multisite but don't really understand the 3rd step and 4th.

Do i have to override the modify files on mysite.com?

Because when I do that i got a problem called Unknown Category Root...
Then how can I get back my template?
