Believe me I already asked the hosting company. It took them four working days to set up working .htaccess files which actually pointed to the right place. I had to go back to them about six times to tell them what they had done wasn't working/wasn't what I asked them to do.

I don't know why they seem to be making it so difficult to just point some subdomains at another subdomain! I've now asked them to set up vhost.conf files to hopefully get this working.

In the mean time I think I'm going to install this onto my personal webspace which is controlled with cpanel and see if I can get it all set up, tested and configured. That way when the hosting company eventually gets their act together I can simply copy the zen cart install over and make the necessary adjustments to the config files.
