    Default New Products error

    When I select "Categories/Products" from the menu, select a category then click the "New Product" button I get a page not found error. If I first select a category that is installed by default, it's fine.

    I'm new to this so therefore I'm fairly dumb with it.

    Any help would be great.

    Peek at your database in phpMyAdmin and browse the table:
    product_types

    How many Product Types do you see?

    What do they read?

    This is what there is so far.

    There isn't much there at the moment because I want to sort this problem out first. I have also noticed that I can add products to 4 and 5 (which are there by default) but not 1, 2 or 3.

    It's got me buggered.

    You change all of their names and those names build the filenames to know what to load ...

    Unless you rebuilt pages to match ... you need to put those all back as they were originally to their original settings ...

    Adding new product types is more than just changing the database ... you have to build the files to go with them ...
