    Default Firefox, IE and Padding

    Hi everyone,

I've been working on my first zc site for a few weeks and have been able to find all answers so far in this wonderful forum. It's really a great program and I have learned a lot.

Anyway, I'm finally stuck on what seems like a relatively simple problem.

I installed the "blank sidebox" add-on to create a left side navigation menu that would resemble my original website's "button" feel.

the sidebox php file is located here:

I created a style (named "sbcheight43") just for this box in the main stylesheet and have not been able to get it to appear the same way in Firefox and IE.

Currently it seems to work correctly in FF, but in IE the "padding-right" attribute will not work. I got this far using the web-developer in FF, but now it seems that I need a similar tool for IE!

Sorry for such a long first post, but if anyone out there has a minute to help the newbie, it'd be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Jason

    Thanks again

Well, I've kinda given up on this for now. I found out that IE has trouble recognizing "padding" css commands, so the menu will just have to look "off" for now.

The closest solution I found was the "IE Stylesheets Overides" in the downloads section.

Using this I can keep everything looking right in FF, and move the navigation text by decreasing the table width in the stylesheet. As long as customers don't switch browsers constantly, it should go undetected.

If anyone has any other ideas (or can see what I've done wrong ) they would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Jason

Pumpkin, you might try CSS Fly Out Menu version: image-rollover-no-css
    located in the downloads section.
This will actually give you the option to use image buttons with rollover effect, since you want the button feel and look. And you can use any 2 images you like to create your buttons. Just replace the ones included in the contribution. You can view this at my website (URL in my signature), and see what you think.
