NO Admin, Log-in, or Check-Out

After installing, I get "HTTP 404-Not Found" page when I click on the links to Log-In, Check-Out, and Admin. I get the catalog pages and shopping cart pages. The database is set-up, I changed the .htaccess files to .htaccess_bak, configuration.php files are correctly pointing to the database, and I do not have Firewall block or cookies disabled.
Why can't I get Log_In, Check-Out, and Admin? PLEASE HELP!

I am not a master by any means, but I have had these problems in the past. It sounds like you are having trouble with one of a few things.

1) your configue.php file could be pointing to "www.yoursite.com" and your .haccess file could be trying to redirect to "yoursite.com" or visa versa.

2) More likely, there is something wrong with your SSL certificate or you have chosen SSL "true", but have directed your site to "http://www.yoursite.com" rather than the "http(S)://www.yoursite.com" ALSO IN THE CONFIG.

You must make sure everything matches. If your have added on the module with the separate internet explorer css, you may have changed the file at the base of catalog rather than within the catalog/includes folder where it is supposed to go. The module does not explain this well so that is a big correction.

If all this fails, change your config cashe choice to "text" rather than database. The database does not work for long with the cashe using database because it eventually overloads or something.
