Default Table alignment and sizing problems

I seem to have a lot of problems with poor table alignment and column widths.

Quite often, the table headers don't lineup with the rows beneath. It appears that one is aligned to the left, whereas the other is aligned to the center.

Also, in a number of places, the column widths aren't wide enough, so it wraps onto the next line, looking really tacky. Here's a picture of the Account History page at /store/index.php?main_page=account.

How can I fix these problems?

Also, how do I stop displaying the country (i.e. United States) here?

I see no reason to display it here.

    Bump...

Does anyone know how to fix this? I've asked this question before and never got any answers that time either.

While pics are nice - most of us volunteers will overlook and not post if a url to the exact page is not included as it is difficult to provide good answers without it.

I posted a picture because I didn't think the account information pages could be viewed by the public. Am I wrong about this?

You're right, we can't see this live (without admin access)...

We can't really investigate from a picture...

I expect most of us have never looked at the code for that area...

It doesn't seriously affect the function or customer experience of your site, so we are less motivated to work on it...

This is just my take on your situation here. Sorry, and would be happy to help if I could.

I was motivated to find out what could be known about this, and discovered that it was the customer's "My Account" view (which is only visible to a logged-in customer with at least one order completed) that you were talking about. It *is* possible for any of us to look at our own test customers' accounts since you are not talking about malfunction, just poor layout/fit.

The file that generates this page is /includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_account_default.php. This is pretty much all hard-coded tables, and you can change widths and alignments right there.
If you make edits, be sure to save the file to /your_template/templates/tpl_account_default.php so it will be protected from upgrades.
