    Default User new shipping address not working

    Hi all. I've inherited a system developer from someone else. If used Zen Cart.

    Here is the scenario.
    1. A logged in user add an item to his/her cart.
    2. They go to the ckeckout process.
    3. In step 1 of 3 on the checkout process they want the item shipped to some other address so they click the 'Change Address' button and see the address form.
    4. They fill in the shipping information and click continue.

    Okay so no big issue so far. The page refreshes and the newly entered address displays on the page. But when the user clicks the continue button to move to step 2 of 3 the page just refreshes.

    Also on this page (and I realize this might be something in the custom template) the Shipping Rate section is not displayed for the new address.

    What version of Zen Cart is being used?

    Also another note on the functionality. If the user goes through the My Account section and adds the new shipping address first then goes through checkout, Select the change address button, select the address from the address listing it works.

    Just can't figure out why the new address entered will not function.

    Also a new address entered in the step 1 of 3 will show in the MyAccount address book section. But still not function correct.

    Strange things. :)

    I believe that your problem is related to a bug in that version. Upgrading to the most recent (1.3.7) should fix you right up.

    well I'm on to something. I just had a thought to check the mysql database record. Of the 4 addresses in the zen_address_book table for my test account The 2 that work have a value in the 'entry_zone_id' field. The 2 that do not work have 0 for the 'entry_zone_id'.

    So just need to figure out where this 'entry_zone_id' is set.

    Thanks Kim but upgrading is not an option at the moment. From what I understand the previous developers made some major changes to the core code. In other words no just templates.

    So on a related question. When the user fills in the Shipping address form on the checkout step 1 of 3. I'm trying to trace how this POST into the ZC system. Specifally I'm looking at how the address gets written into the address table. It is at that point the entry_zone_id is left as zero.
