help question SSL Enable & Authorize.net Security Certificate Error

    I went to https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=14

I tired every code example given on both the includes/configure.php and the admin/includes/configure.php and got blank pages when I click on "Log yourself in". Finally with the last code example (which I think must be the correct one) I got an error page:
There is a problem with this website's security certificate.
In the payment module I put in my authorize.net Login ID & Transaction Key, set the mode for Production, the method for credit card. I tried bith Default and Processing for order status and I still get the error page. I am not sure what the problem is. I thought having an authorize.net account gave me a security certificate as well as SSL secure payments for all my sites.

Anybody know what I am doing wrong or what I am missing?

Did you buy an SSL certificate and have your hosting company install it to work with your hosting account? (They'll need to upgrade you to a static IP address in your hosting account too.)

You must do that before you can activate SSL support in your Zen Cart configuration.

*After* you've done all that, then you can consider accepting secure payments such as via authorize.net.
