use credit card as default setting as payment method?

Hi,

I know this must be easy, but not able to find the place to activate this.

I would like the radio button at credit card to be checked, when a customer is presented with my payment methods in step 2 of the order process. I have 3 different methods (credit cards, paypal IPN and paypal express). Please help

Keep in mind that starting in v1.3.7, as soon as the customer clicks inside a credit-card-number field to start typing their CC number, the radio button will be auto-selected.
Perhaps you don't need to make an edit after all ?

That's not really intuitive to the user though is it? Nor is it what people have asked for, which is that a payment method (doesn't have to be cc) can be pre-selected as the default.

May I suggest that the dev team incorporate this code to the core?

If I entered all my credit card info to fail on forgetting to check the radio button I'd be very unhappy ...

The new feature ensures that this does not happen, I believe is the point DrByte is making ...

We will look into defaults on payment modules ... problem is ... let's add in a few zones to enable and disable them ... now who's the default?

Does this actually work I am using 1.3.7 and it does not work that way on my site.

Yes - it works very well on all the sites my clients run.

If it's not working, then your browser may have javascript disabled or the methodSelect() function might be missing in your /includes/modules/pages/checkout_payment/jscript_main.php file.
