Where is the PHP code that writes the HTML of this variable ...
$product['buttonUpdate']
for the shopping cart page.
I did a global file search. And the content of this variable does not seem to be defined in tpl_shopping_cart_default.php. But I could be wrong.

It's set in the shopping cart header file (line 127) though it's probably different in those Template Monster templates you sell.
