Help--unable to make changes to site

Hi,

I am able to log in to my admin panel, but when I click on anything, I get directed back to the login page. I've been trying for two days to get in. Could someone please help????

save your /admin/includes/configure.php

then re-upload your admin folder.

have you used any add-ons yet.

No, I haven't used any add-ons, and I'm clueless about what you're telling me to do since I wasn't the one who installed my cart. In fact, the lady who did has now gone the way of the do-do, and I can't get in touch with her anymore. Is there someone who can walk me through the steps?
