I got this error. I installed the newest patch.

Sounds like you are running Zen Cart v1.3.7 and have not installed the latest PayPal Patch ...

I reinstalled paypal in admin and also reinstalled the patch. Still not sure what is happening. I can purchase using a credit card through paypal.

Try reloading the latest patch again and be sure to remove, install and reconfigure it once more ...

1. You say you're getting the ot_tax errors.
2. You say you've installed the patch (which fixes those errors when applied properly).
3. You say you can "purchase using credit card through PayPal". How exactly is this different from the error you were reporting earlier? The more details the better.

4. In addition, I suggest you turn on debug logging, and post your logs.

I'm able to use the Paypal IPN module, but the orders don't show up in Zen Cart. I reinstalled the patch and I'm still getting the same issue with Paypal Express.

If IPN isn't getting your orders into your Zen Cart site, then it's not talking to PayPal properly.

In the Wiki it says to turn off all shipping settings. Does anyone know if there is a place to do that in Paypal?. I've found that you can edit the shipping setting but you can't delete them.

Fixed my problem. This has been posted on the Click-n-Ship thread.

I've been using filezilla to upload my files and I've been having problems with the files not updating on the server. I had issues with the USPS Click n Ship and also the Paypal Patch. For some reason when I would drag the whole file structure over some of these files weren't being moved. I got both contributions to work yesterday by moving the individual files over. It might just be me, but check the dates of your files on your server to make sure they have changed when you uploaded your files.

Also check that your default "overwrite" settings are not set to "skip" existing files. I usually tell it to always "prompt" me for my preference.
