red flag Log In and Checkout problem

    Hi Folks!

I think I've had a MAJOR mishap. We just uploaded the cart to the server and it worked fine in tests. I decided to test it again since it was live and discovered a problem. I get kicked to the generic microsoft problem page when I try to log in. If I reload I'll be logged in but it boots me to the same plage during checkout. My computer genius (yeah right) who did this for me now tells me he accidentally deleted some files from Admin when he did the upload?!? Is that causing my problem? If I have to reinstall the whole cart is there a way I can save my catalog and configurations and put them into a new download? Any help will be GREATLY appreciated... it was sooo close....

    Thanks!
    Ross

That would be www.gcstoys.com I had to take it out of maintenance mode so you can check! I also just added the downloaded and added the credit card images, but I wouldn't think that had anything to do with it...

    Thanks!

You do realize that all of your images are 500k or larger ...

People are not going to wait for those pages ...

You should really look into using the Zen Cart images correctly for your site ...

    Hi Ajeh!

While this has nothing to do with my current trouble (at least I hope not), I really have no clue how to adjust my image sizes. They load reasonably well on my cheap DSL. Advice is always welcome.

    Thanks!

    Make smaller images ...

Small should be 1k to 10k max ...

I'll look into it, I think I understand the thread you sent me to. Unfortunately now this thread is completely off the problem I posted it for and my cart still doesn't work!

    Thanks!

What I think you're telling me is that I have to have 3 versions of the same image, a small, a med, and a large one? That's going to take a bit more time... and an image program.

    Thanks!

red flag Re: Log In and Checkout problem

Before I completely blow gasket over here can anyone tell me what's up with my cart? We did a complete reinstall last nite, uploaded the database. I ran a test and everything worked great, except we found we had to reinstall the FedEx module. We did that. When I went in this morning to finish fixing product pics I discovered we can't get into checkout and the shipping estimator doesn't work - again! In case you need the url it's www.gcstoys.com This makes no sense at all to me! Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!
    Ross
