Newsletter look like a web page

Ok, I wanted to send out a newsletter displaying a product and have a full colored background or picture header ect. I wanted it to look like a web page. I tried to make one in html but when I receive the newsletter it showed no pictures and plain text. What am I doing wrong?

What version of Zencart are you running?

You need an HTML editor selected in Admin-My Store.
Check Admin-Configuration-Email Options that Use MIME HTML is set to true, and that Email Admin Format is set to HTML.
If you are using the Newsletter only subs mod, check Admin-Customers-Subscription Manager second column - Preference to see that you have a preponderance of customers with HTML selected. If not, you will have to check some individual customers. The default setting on the customer signup page is TEXT.
If you wish to use the admin email to test the newsletters, or still have problems, you should probably implement the changes mentioned here

Im using 1.3.7 and I some of the things you mentioned was set to text not Html. I will have to test here shortly but I dont have time right now. Thanks for your responce it helped me weed threw the Admin area to get the right things selected!!!
